Try this recipe for a quick breakfast, or even after a workout. The pancakes only take about ten minutes to prepare and cook.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of rolled oats
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 cup fat-free cottage cheese
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- Handful of spinach
Directions For Making Spinach Protein Pancakes
1. Place all ingredients together in a blender. Blend for 30 seconds, or until the batter becomes thoroughly mixed.
2. Turn on the stove to medium heat, then melt a tablespoon of butter in a frying pan or griddle.
3. Pour batter into the pan or griddle and flip after about 25-35 seconds (or until lightly brown).
4. Serve with nut butter, syrup, or any other toppings you desire. Keep in mind that the addition of toppings will change the nutritional information.
Recipe serves one person and makes about five to six three-inch pancakes.
