Water Aerobics
Water aerobics supports the body and reduces the risk of injury. Exercise in the water can also help prevent overheating, as the water continually cools the body. Plus, you get a great workout while protecting your joints from the impact of dry-land aerobics.
Prenatal and postpartum members may join any water aerobics class. Please talk with the instructor for any specific modifications in your workout.
Classes
Water Aerobics Level 1 (beginner / senior)
A fun no to low impact water class that reduces the impact on the back, knees, and other joints. The workouts will help improve agility, flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. Balance, coordination, and core strength are also addressed in this class.
Water Aerobics All Levels
The water aerobics class is a well-rounded form of exercise for all ages and levels of exercise. The water provides an environment that protects exercisers from the impact of traditional aerobics, making it easier on the joints. The resistance of the water allows you to improve muscle tone while you work the cardiovascular system. Water allows exercisers to multi-task, targeting several regions in the body simultaneously. Flexibility, balance, and core strength are also addressed in this class.
