<title>GENESIS HEALTH CLUBS Offers New Fitness Program That Will Help You Center Your Energy.</title>
<description>Group CentergyTM Helps You Redefine Your Self.WICHITA - 7/14/09 - Group Centergy is a mind-body program at GENESIS HEALTH CLUBS in Wichita and Hutchinson that offers participants a chance to improve strength and flexibility while rejuvenating the body's systems. Its movements focus the body's energy to relieve stress, reduce pain and improve postural alignment.

A person can achieve clearer mental vision and peace of mind by detachment from stressful thoughts and emotions. This detachment is achieved by learning to direct one's focus. Group Centergy is the perfect program to accomplish this, while working the muscles to maintain flexibility and improve circulation, states Angie Kendall, Group Fitness Coordinator of Genesis Health Clubs.

Set to uplifting music, Group Centergy is a natural stress reliever and an excellent form of preventative medicine. After just one experience of centering and enjoying the movements, Group Centergy participants will notice straighter posture, an increase in strength and flexibility and a greater sense of peace.

Group Centergy is truly for everyone, removing barriers of age, gender and fitness background. The nature of the program makes it easy for everyone to achieve success, master techniques over time and return for more. The program's flexibility, core stability, full-body training and conscious breathing components, when adapted to other activities, make those activities more fluid, effective, enjoyable and balanced.</description>

<title>Genesis Health Clubs Introduces A New Twist on Group Fitness</title>
<description>(WICHITA, KS) Friendship and fun are two factors that make group fitness a popular offering at Genesis Health Clubs. Starting June 16th, Genesis will launch a new group fitness program designed to increase the fun factor for participants and keep boredom at bay.

Genesis President Rodney Steven II announced today that the Club will kick off Group Powertm, the first of a multi-program offering, on Saturday, June 16th at each location:

West 13th - 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m.West Central - 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m.Rock Road - 7:15 a.m., 11 a.m.East Central - 9 a.m., 11 a.m.Hutchinson - 9 a.m., 11 a.m. Members are signing up now to attend the inaugural classes at each location and be the first to try out the new regimen, says Angie Kendall, Genesis group fitness director. Group fitness attendance is usually spontaneous, but we expect an overwhelming response the first day, thats why were enrolling people, she says. Genesis employees will be invited to attend classes the week of June 10th.

First to launch is Group Powertm, a 60-minute barbell program designed to strengthen major muscles. Branded as Your Hour of Power, Group Powertm incorporates barbells into a series of simple, athletic moves such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, with music that motivates movement. Group Powertm is the first of a variety of new group fitness programs to roll out in the coming months, including:

Group Kicktm An athletic, martial arts-based program.Group Ridetm An indoor cycling program designed to increase strength and endurance.Group Centergytm A mind-body program that lengthens, strengthens and relaxes participants.Group Groovetm A fusion of club, urban and Latin dance styles with motivating chart-topping hits and retro classic tunes. Each class will be updated quarterly with new choreography and music, to keep participants challenged and avoid fitness plateaus, says Kendall. Pre-choreographed classes, specialized instructor training and quarterly program updates are what distinguish the Group Powertm and its related regimen from the competition.

Versatility is also a key of the new Group Powertm and other programs to come. Because group fitness appeals to all ages, its important that people be able to work at their own pace, says Kendall. Participants get their own set of barbells which they can add or subtract plates from, depending on their goals and abilities. Participants at the June 16th launch will be the first to work with new barbells. Group Powertm is designed to improve lean muscle and elevate metabolic rate, to help burn fat more efficiently.

Group Powertm is part of a scientifically designed group fitness regimen designed by Body Training Systems (BTS), a division of The STEP Company, maker of The STEP, designed and patented in 1989 and currently used in more than 25,000 clubs worldwide. For more information visit www.bodytrainingsystems.com.

Group Powertm is choreographed by Cathy Spencer-Browning, BTS National Training and Program Director. Cathy holds a degree in Human Movement from Wollongong University, Australia and is an international presenter and lecturer. In 2001 Cathy was named Australias Fitness Professional of the Year and has served on the American Council on Exercise Faculty Advisory Board.

      <title>CHAMPIONS FOR CHARITY POSTPONED</title>
<description>CHAMPIONS FOR CHARITY POSTPONED Plans for the Event to return in 2010 underway
Wichita, KS (November 9, 2009) - The second edition of Champions for Charity, originally scheduled for December 6, 2009 at Hartman Arena featuring Melanie Oudin, Bob and Mike Bryan, John Isner and Mardy Fish, has been postponed. Developed as a fundraiser for the Genesis Foundation for Fitness Tennis (GFFT), the Board of Directors decided to shift focus towards potentially hosting the event in 2010 rather than 2009 due to the current state of the economy in the region.

Our original intention was to host an event in 2009 to provide a positive economic impact, further establish our state and city as a place for great tennis, and raise money for GFFT to help encourage more young kids to pick up a racquet and healthy habits early in life, said Bill Faflick, GFFT Board President. However, after careful consideration, we realized now is not the appropriate time to ask area residents and corporations to fund other initiatives outside of their own. We want to thank ticket buyers and others who supported the event in 2009 and apologize for any inconvenience.

In its inaugural year in 2006, Champions for Charity featured Andy Roddick and was played at the Rock Road location of Genesis Health Clubs. The Event was sold-out (nearly 3,000 spectators) and helped raise over 20,000 for the Daniel M. Carney Rehabilitation Engineering Center Wheelchair Seating Program for Children at the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation (CPRF) and the newly created Genesis Foundation for Fitness Tennis (GFFT). Organizers feel strongly that with the opening of the new state-of-the-art Hartman Arena in 2009, the event can be equally if not more successful in the near future. Plans for Champions for Charity to return in 2010 are currently underway as area corporations have indicated strong interest in supporting the event in the future.

Those who purchased tickets for 2009 will be refunded accordingly and should contact the Hartman Arena Box Office, 316-927-3999, located at 8151 N. Hartman Arena Dr., Park City, KS 67147. For more information visit www.hartmanarena.com.
