Kids Swimming Lessons
With a low instructor to child ratio, children are sure to receive the attention and personalized instruction they need to improve their swimming skills. The instructional approach familiarizes children with the water and encourages independent skill development. Classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced swimmers are held year round at the Rock Road and West Central Genesis locations.
West Central Summer Swimming Lessons

Swim lessons are set up for the same time as SWIM TEAM practice.

Beginners - 12:00-12:30pm
Swimmers that have never taken swim lessons before. Students are nervous about entering the water or who are afraid to get in on their own.
Intermediates - 12:30-1:00pm
Swimmers have taken lessons before and are not afraid to enter the water on their own. Student will learn to jump in the water on their own, float, swim 10-15 yards above and under water.

Swimmers have taken lessons before and are not afraid to enter the water on their own. Student will learn to jump in the water on their own, float, swim 10-15 yards above and under water.

Swim Lesson Class Descriptions
Beginners
In this class, students will hold breath for 6 seconds, jump in at a point without support, flutter kick on front and back 10 yards with or without buoy, back float from the wall no support, swim on front 3 yards no support, front and back glide 2 body lengths.
Intermediates
Students must be able to pass out of all items in beginner class to move into intermediates. Intermediates will learn, rhythmic breathing, jump into deep water, retrieve object on the bottom of the pool, and coordinate the front crawl and back crawl strokes also beginning diving from side of pool.
